BSDC - 400 State Building

State Building400 State is an Intermediate Care Facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/ID).

It consists of four homes on the campus of BSDC and currently serves individuals between the ages of 21 to 60 years old.

Many individuals work both on the BSDC campus for Sheridan Industries, and throughout the Beatrice community.

Jobs within 400 State ICF/ID includes shredding paper, cleaning, mail routes, deliveries, off-campus paper routes, cleaning at the Department of Roads in Beatrice, and many more.

While at the home, individuals cook their own meals, do their own laundry and keep their homes tidy with staff support.

The individuals living in the homes of the State Cottages have a wide range of abilities.

Many individuals enjoy cooking, cleaning, fishing, Nebraska football, and many other activities. Several people like to play basketball and participate in Special Olympics activities, while others enjoy camping and gardening.

The 400 State Building specializes in serving individuals who might have multiple behavioral and medical challenges.
