State Operated Services
BSDC - Sheridan Cottages
The Sheridan Cottages are an Intermediate Care Facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/ID).
They consist of three homes on the campus of BSDC.
They serve both men and women between the ages of 32 to 80 years old.
Many individuals work both on the BSDC campus for Sheridan Industries, and throughout the Beatrice community.
Some examples of jobs include food service, various contact/production work, off-campus paper routes, and many more.
In addition, many individuals participate in various volunteer opportunities within the community; including assisting at the Beatrice Humane Society and the youth center.
While at home, individuals cook their own meals, do their own laundry and keep their homes tidy with staff support. Many individuals have unique interests and hobbies; including cooking, sports, participation in Special Olympics, gardening, shopping, and much more.
The individuals living in the homes of the Sheridan Cottages ICF/ID have a wide range of abilities.
Sheridan Cottages specialize in serving individuals who might have multiple physical, behavioral and medical challenges.
