There are resources out there to help young adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities as they transition from school to adult life.
Young adults in Nebraska are automatically eligible for Developmental Disabilities day vocational/habilitative services at age 22. Prior to obtaining these services, individuals with developmental disabilities continue to receive services from their local school district.
The division works with individuals, their families, and schools to make the transition as seamless as possible.
