Quality Assurance (QA) staff apply a tiered review of cases that were processed using the Nebraska Safety Intervention System (NSIS) to monitor adherence to the model: an initial review of 15 safety assessments from each supervisor; a second review of five assessments from each supervisor; and ongoing case reviews thereafter.
QA staff completed the first round of initial assessment reviews in September 2009. The team planned to review seven assessments from each Office of Juvenile Services/Ongoing Children and Family Service Supervisor (OJS/CFSS) in each service area. However, some of the supervisors did not have seven ongoing safety assessments that were finalized at the time of the reviews. The QA team reviewed 274 ongoing assessments in this round. |
