Quality Assurance (QA) staff apply a tiered review of cases that were processed using the Nebraska Safety Intervention System (NSIS) to monitor adherence to the model: an initial review of 15 safety assessments from each supervisor; a second review of five assessments from each supervisor; and ongoing case reviews thereafter.
QA staff completed the first round of initial assessment reviews in October 2008. This round included a review of 378 initial assessments from the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southeast Service Areas, and from the eastern part of the Western Service Area. The team reviewed 52 cases from the panhandle area of the Western Service Area before the QA tool was finalized. Therefore, results from the review of those 52 cases are not included in Round 1 results. The results related to the 60 cases reviewed from the eastern part of the Western Service Area are referred to as the Southwest area of the state. |
