Fremont Employees To Be Recognized as
DHHS Employee and Supervisor of the Year

October is Nebraska State Employee Recognition Month

Lincoln—Two Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) employees in Fremont are being recognized as employees and supervisors of the year.

Brittnay Hart, a training specialist, and Amanda Sawtelle, a social services supervisor, will be recognized as an employee and supervisor of the year, respectively.

October is Nebraska State Employee Recognition Month and each October state agencies are allowed to select one employee and one supervisor/manager of the year for every 500 people employed by the agency.

“These employees and supervisors are an inspiration to all of us and I want to thank them for their hard work and dedication,” said Courtney Phillips, DHHS CEO. “It is a true honor to be nominated by your peers for this recognition.”

Hart was recognized by her coworkers for her “constructive attitude,” “willingness to serve” and “high levels of integrity.” Her coworkers said she is an important member of their team who “readily accepts new responsibilities and welcomes any challenges.”

Sawtelle was nominated by her coworkers who said she is “approachable, gives constructive criticism and motivates her team.” They also said she “inspires her team to be the best they can be by leading by example.”

DHHS’ employees and supervisors of the year, including Hart and Sawtelle, will be honored on Thursday, October 29 with a reception with Gov. Pete Ricketts at the Capitol Rotunda, a reception at the Governor’s Residence and a DHHS recognition at the Cornhusker Hotel.
