New Central Nebraska Veterans Home
Construction Documents Out for Bids
Lincoln—The Nebraska Department of Administrative Services announced Friday (Nov. 6) that construction documents for the new Central Nebraska Veterans Home to be built in Kearney have been released to solicit bids for general construction.
The new Veterans Home, part of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, is expected to open in the fall of 2018.
Plans may be obtained from A&D Technical Supply 1822 N Street Lincoln NE. A pre-bid meeting will be held in Kearney on Thurs., Nov. 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the Younes Conference Center, 416 Talmadge Street. Attendance by prospective bidders is not required but encouraged. Bidders must submit their bids to the State no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 17.

According to John Hilgert, Director of the DHHS Division of Veterans Homes, the U.S. Veterans Administration approved the submitted plans without comment last week.
