Grand Island Veterans Home to Host
15th Annual Classic Car & Bike Show
Lincoln – The Grand Island Veterans Home will host the 15th Annual Classic Car & Bike Show on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Registration for each show car or bike is from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and there is a $10 entry fee for each show vehicle. All proceeds from the event go to the “Staff for Santa” fund, which raises money to purchase individualized gifts for all members of the Veterans Home each Christmas.
The show is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the general public is invited to attend this free event. Parking will be available in the north parking lot of the Veterans’ Home or on the west side of the United Veterans Club. Music Masters Mobile DJ will be spinning tunes throughout the event for everyone’s enjoyment, as they view the cars and bikes on display.
Judging will be by participant vote, with trophies awarded to the top three cars and top three bikes at 3:30 p.m. The public is also encouraged to vote for their favorite motorcycle and favorite car for the People’s Choice awards.
The rain date is scheduled for September 21st, and will be announced via local radio stations if the weather is inclement.
