Member Sought for Health Boards
Lincoln—The State Board of Health is seeking 36 members of the public and of certain professions to serve on 21 professional boards and two committees that are responsible for granting license privileges to health care providers. Specific vacancy positions are listed on the DHHS website.
Professionals who are actively engaged in the practice of the following professions will be appointed to fill vacancies on these boards: Board of Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Board of Alcohol and Drug Counseling Board of Athletic Training Board of Chiropractic Board of Cosmetology, Electrology, Esthetics, Nail Technology, and Body Art Board of Dentistry Board of Funeral Directing and Embalming Board of Hearing Instrument Specialists Board of Massage Therapy Board of Medical Radiography Board of Medicine and Surgery Board of Mental Health Practice Board of Nursing Board of Occupational Therapy Practice Board of Optometry Perfusionist Committee Board of Pharmacy Board of Physical Therapy Physician Assistant Committee Board of Podiatry Board of Psychology Board of Respiratory Care Practice Board of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery
In addition, individuals who can represent a consumer perspective and are not licensed in the particular areas that the board serves will be appointed to fill public member vacancies. Five boards have vacancies for public members: Board of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses Board of Athletic Training Board of Nursing Board of Pharmacy Board of Respiratory Care
The Board of Health is also seeking a Proprietary Home Member on the Board of Nursing Home Administrators to fill a current vacancy due to a resignation. Applications for this position are due by May 23rd.
