Behavioral Health Forums for Consumers to be Held
Lincoln - Town hall forums to discuss the best way to implement strategies in the state’s Behavioral Health Strategic Plan will be held in three communities next week.
The forums give consumers, their family members and anyone interested in behavioral health the opportunity to give their ideas on how best to develop a “map” of the direction that behavioral health should take in the next three to five years. Behavioral health includes mental health, substance abuse and problem gambling.
“Consumer input is needed so that we get suggestions on how to implement the strategic plan and meet the plan’s goals,” said Scot L. Adams, director of the Division of Behavioral Health at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
The forums will each be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
June 14 - Lincoln Holiday Inn Downtown 141 N. 9th Street, Lincoln
June 15 - Omaha W. Dale Clark (Main) Library 215 S. 15th Street, Omaha
June 17 - Norfolk Northeast Community College (Room 139) 801 E. Benjamin Avenue, Norfolk
