Department of Health and Human Services to Hold Hearing July 28 on Proposed Regulations

Lincoln –The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is holding a hearing on Thursday, July 28, in the Nebraska State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lower Level, Conference Room A, in Lincoln. The hearing will begin at 10:00 a.m. CT.

The Division of Children and Family Services is holding this hearing to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations related to the Child Abuse/Neglect Central Register. The changes will revise terminology on case status determinations to replace:

  • The status of “petition to be filed” with “court pending”; and

  • The status “inconclusive” with “agency substantiated.”

Anyone may attend and comment at the hearing or submit comments in writing. Written comments will be given the same consideration as comments made in person.
