Department of Health and Human Services to Hold Two Hearings June 3 in Lincoln
Nursing home administrators and Medicaid
Lincoln – These hearings will be held June 3 in the Nebraska State Office Building, Lower Level, Conference Room ‘A’, Lincoln, NE.
Public Hearing at 10:00 a.m. CDT
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Public Health will accept comments on proposed changes to regulations for licensure of nursing home administrators. The proposed changes will correct wording that appears in three sections of these regulations related to core educational areas: for an associate degree; for a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree; and for a nursing degree. The revised wording provides that the applicant/licensee either graduates from a National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) accredited program or meets specified core educational requirements. The proposed changes will restore the meaning that was originally intended.
Public Hearing at 11:00 a.m. CDT
At this hearing, the DHHS Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care will accept comments on proposed changes to regulations for Medicaid. The proposed changes will revise the Medicaid’s payment method for Medicare Part A crossover claims for nursing facility services.
Anyone may attend and comment at the hearings or submit comments in writing. Written comments must be postmarked or received by 5:00 p.m. CDT, June 5, 2010.
