Members Sought for Health Boards

Lincoln—The State Board of Health is seeking members of certain professions to serve on boards that are responsible for granting license privileges to health care providers. Professionals are needed to serve on the following boards:

  • Board of Alcohol and Drug Counseling—a psychiatrist, psychologist, or mental health practitioner
  • Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology—an audiologist and a speech-language pathologist
  • Board of Cosmetology, Electrology, Esthetics, Nail Technology, and Body Art—a body art practitioner, a salon owner, and a cosmetology instructor
  • Board of Funeral Directing and Embalming—a funeral director and embalmer
  • Board of Medical Radiography—a medical radiographer
  • Board of Mental Health Practice—a certified master social worker and two licensed mental health practitioners
  • Board of Optometry—an optometrist
  • Board of Psychology—a psychologist
  • Board of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery—two veterinarians

Professionals who are actively engaged in the practice of any of the above professions will be appointed to fill vacancies on the boards.
