Department of Health and Human Services to Hold Hearing in Lincoln July 22
Lincoln – The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Public Health is holding this hearing to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations for the practice of Chiropractic. This hearing will be held July 22, 2010 at 1:30 p.m., State Office Building, Lower Level Conf. Room ‘B’, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lincoln, NE.
The proposed changes will:
- Prohibit a chiropractor/chiropractic physician or any person designated, contracted, or paid by a chiropractor/chiropractic physician from soliciting employment as a chiropractor from a person who has been involved in an accident or disaster unless the accident or disaster occurred more than thirty days prior to the solicitation; and
- Define the term “solicit” to include contact in person or by telephone.
Anyone may attend and comment at the hearings or submit comments in writing. Written comments must be postmarked or received by 5:00 p.m. CDT, July 24, 2010.
