Department of Health and Human Services to Hold Two Hearings July 15 in Lincoln
Rural Health Professional Incentive Programs & Condition of Eligibility
Public Hearing at 10:00 a.m. CDT
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Public Health is holding this hearing to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations for Rural Health Professional Incentive Programs. The proposed changes will:
- Add the dental profession and the mental health profession;
- Clarify nurse practitioner eligibility after passage of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Act of 2007; and
- Require citizenship or lawful presence in the U.S.
Public Hearing at 11:00 a.m. CDT
The DHHS Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care is holding this hearing to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations related to verification of citizenship or lawful presence in the United States as a condition of eligibility for the Respite Subsidy Program, the Medically Handicapped Children’s Program, the Disabled Persons and Family Support Program, and the Social Services for Aged and Disabled Program.
Anyone may attend and comment at the hearings or submit comments in writing. Written comments must be postmarked or received by 5:00 p.m. CDT, July 17, 2010.
