Flu prevention tip of the week from Dr. Joann Schaefer, Chief Medical Officer for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

“A lot of times, the real cause of death from the flu is pneumonia. You can decrease your chances of getting this potentially deadly flu complication with a pneumonia shot.  Pneumonia vaccine is readily available at most health clinics.”
