DHHS to Hold a Hearing October 29, 2009 in Lincoln

Lincoln – The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Public Health is holding this hearing to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations for Analyses for the Determination of the Alcohol Content in Blood and Breath in Title 177, Chapter 1 and Drug and Alcohol Testing in the Workplace in Title 177, Chapter 6. The hearing will take place in Lincoln at the Nebraska State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Conference Room ‘LL-D’, at 1:00 p.m. (CT)

These are the proposed changes:

  • Remove obsolete language;
  • Clarify regulatory requirements; and
  • Streamline the requirements for obtaining and maintaining permits, including training, device calibration and proficiency testing.

Anyone may attend and comment at the hearing or submit comments in writing. Written comments must be postmarked or received by 5:00 p.m. CT, October 31, 2009.
