Member Sought for Health Board
Lincoln—The State Board of Health is seeking an alcohol and drug counselor to serve on the Board of Alcohol and Drug Counseling. This position must be filled by an alcohol and drug counselor who is not licensed as a psychologist or mental health practitioner. He or she must be actively engaged in practice.
The purpose of the professional board is to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of Nebraskans by ensuring that licensees meet standards of competency and that consumers are protected. The board is also responsible for granting license privileges.
