Ten New Cases of H1N1 Reported
Ten cases have been reported since last week’s news release. The total number for Nebraska now stands at 81.
"Cases are continuing to be identified," said Dr. Joann Schaefer, Chief Medical Officer. “I expect that H1N1 will be present in small numbers throughout the summer, but our constant surveillance will be able to identify an increase in cases.”

NOTE: The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services will no longer be issuing weekly news releases on the number of cases of novel influenza A (H1N1) in Nebraska.
The reason for this is that cases are continuing at a stable level. If there is a surge in cases or a major development, a news release will be issued.
The DHHS Web site will be updated on Fridays. Subscribe to the H1N1 page to keep track of the latest case numbers: http://www.dhhs.ne.gov/publichealth/Pages/flu.aspx
