DHHS to Hold Two Hearings July 13 in Lincoln
Lincoln – The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care will hold two public hearings July 13, 2009 to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations for the Nebraska Medical Assistance Program, also known as Medicaid.
These hearings will take place in Lincoln at the State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, temporary conference room ‘1Z’ located on 1st floor, State Office Building, North side.
Public Hearing at 1:00 p.m. CT
The proposed changes at this hearing will establish Medicaid rates for services provided by intermediate care facilities for persons with mental retardation (ICF/MRs) for the period of July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010, with a proposed inflation factor of 5.0%. The proposed rates will be available for review and comment on the DHHS website at http://www.dhhs.ne.gov/reg/hearings/. The proposed changes will also:
- Increase administrator compensation maximums;
- Increase fixed cost component maximum from $26 to $27; and
- Provide for Medicaid payment for ICF/MRs with 4-15 beds.
Public Hearing at 2:00 p.m. CT
The proposed changes at this hearing will establish Medicaid rates for nursing facility services for the period of July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 with a proposed inflation factor of 0.78%.
The proposed rates will be available for review and comment on the DHHS website at http://www.dhhs.ne.gov/Pages/reg_hearings.aspx. The proposed changes will also:
- Increase administrator compensation maximums, and;
- Increase fixed cost component maximum from $26 to $27.
