DHHS: Set Your Clocks, Check Your Stocks
Lincoln—The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and the America Public Health Association want to remind you that Daylight Savings Time ends at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of November, so remember:
- Set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night.
- Check your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and make sure they work. Replace batteries with fresh ones.
- Check your stocks: Check your disaster supply kits for your house and car (water, food, flashlights, batteries, blankets). Make sure your food and batteries haven’t expired. You should have a minimum of three days of food, water and supplies. If you don’t yet have an emergency stockpile, make one. For a stockpile checklist, go to www.getreadyforflu.org/clocksstocks
