Youth Links Triage Center Ribbon Cutting
When: Thursday, May 22, at 2:30 p.m.
What: Open House for Youth Links, the new18-bed juvenile justice triage center. Youth Links was created through a partnership between the Department of Health and Human Services, Heartland Family Service and Boys Town.
Where: 815 Dorcas Street, Omaha, NE
Join Governor Dave Heineman as he cuts the ribbon to open this innovative, first-of-its-kind service for juvenile offenders in Douglas and Sarpy Counties. (Juvenile offenders are youth breaking laws such as truancy or being a runaway or youth breaking criminal law.)
Youth Links services will include: family preservation, anger management classes, crisis stabilization, drug and alcohol education, drug testing, electronic monitoring, family group conferencing, and independent life skills.
