DHHS Moves Service Coordination to the Division of Developmental Disabilities

Lincoln – The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is moving developmental disability Service Coordination activities to ensure that the continuum of services provided to individuals with developmental disabilities will be in one division.

Effective July 1, approximately 235 employees who provide and support DD Service Coordination will move from the Division of Children and Family Services to the Division of Developmental Disabilities in DHHS.

"This change will provide a more efficient service delivery system that furnishes high quality support to people with developmental disabilities and their families," said John Wyvill, director of the Division.

Affected employees will continue to provide the same services to the same individuals, and the move should not be noticeable to clients or families, he said.
