DHHS to Hold Three Hearings June 19 in Lincoln

Lincoln – The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Medicaid and Long Term Care will hold several public hearings June 19, 2008. These hearings are being held to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations for the Nebraska Medicaid Assistance Program, also known as Medicaid.

The hearings will take place in Lincoln at the State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lower Level Conference Room ‘A.’

Public Hearing at 10:00 a.m. CT

These proposed changes will provide Medicaid rates for services provided by intermediate care facilities for persons with mental retardation (ICF/MR’s) for the period of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.

Public Hearing at 11:00 a.m. CT

These changes will establish Medicaid rates for nursing facility services for the period of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.

Public Hearing at 1:30 p.m. CT

These proposed changes will allow Medicaid to cover the services of licensed independent mental health practitioners (LIMHP) and will allow a licensed independent mental health practitioner to provide clinical supervision for other practitioners.
