What: $17.1 million distribution -- final chapter in Behavioral Health reform

Receive details about the additional $17.1 million in funding going to the six Behavioral Health Regions for community-based services for FY 07-08. Highlights of services developed and local successes will be shared. LB 1083, the Nebraska Behavioral Health Reform Act, was passed in 2004. Reform efforts have allowed an additional 9,000 new consumers to be served in their communities, closer to friends and family, avoiding institutionalization in a Regional Center.
