Members Sought for Health Boards
Lincoln—The State Board of Health is seeking five members of the public and of certain professions to serve on two professional boards that are responsible for granting license privileges to health care providers. Public representatives or professionals are needed to serve on the following boards:
Board of Alcohol and Drug Counseling: an alcohol and drug counselor and a member of the public
Physician Assistant Committee: a supervising physician, a physician assistant and a member of the public
Professionals who are actively engaged in the practice of their profession can be appointed to fill vacancies on the boards. Individuals who can represent a consumer perspective and are not licensed in the particular area that the board serves can be appointed to fill public member vacancies.
Persons interested in serving on a board can obtain an application and documents related to the appointment process at http://www.dhhs.ne.gov/publichealth/Pages/crl_board_vacancies.aspx.
