DHHS ‘Traveling’ Career Fair to Be Held Nov. 7 in Kearney
Kearney – Jobseekers in the Kearney area desiring positions that offer good pay and benefits, as well as internships, can learn about employment opportunities when the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services blitzes the city Tuesday, Nov. 7 with a traveling career fair in three locations.
The traveling career fair:
Opens at Central Community College at the front entrance from 10 a.m. to noon.
A second career fair occurs at the University of Nebraska at Kearney in the Student Union from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The final stop will be from 2-4 p.m. at Kearney Works, 16 West 11th St.
“We have a number of positions available in Central and Western Nebraska and have specific areas of need such as the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Centers, ACCESSNebraska Customer Service Centers and we also need Child Protective Services workers,” said LaDene Madson, talent acquisition supervisor. “This traveling career fair is our effort to not only target locations rich with talent, but also to reach out to the community so our job opportunities are more readily available and convenient to view.”
DHHS representatives also will visit a few classrooms at Central Community College and UNK to talk with students.
