Nebraska DHHS to Enter Sub-award Agreement
with ResCare for Employment First Service Coordination
Lincoln – The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services today announced its intent to enter into a sub-award with Arbor Employment and Training, doing business as ResCare Workforce Services, to provide statewide Employment First Case Management Services employment training to parents in low-income families with children who receive Aid to Dependent Children (ADC) public assistance.
ADC parents who are able to work must participate in Employment First, a program that provides individuals with employment-related skills and knowledge through training, education, and employment preparation. The program helps parents prepare for, secure and maintain employment to support their family and move to long-term, financial self-sufficiency and stability.
Employment First is Nebraska's welfare reform program that helps families achieve economic self-sufficiency and assists ADC clients through the transition from welfare to the workforce.
