DHHS To Hold Additional Long-Term Care Listening Session
The Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care Seeks Public Input on Long-Term Care Redesign

Lincoln—Nebraska’s Department of Health and Human Services will hold a webinar to seek public commentary about Medicaid’s Long-Term Care Redesign project, identified as a priority in the DHHS Business Plan.
“By including Nebraskans in these very important discussions, we believe that we will simplify processes for consumers, increase quality of care, and offer more efficient and effective solutions,” said Courtney Phillips, chief executive officer of DHHS.
All interested persons, including consumers and providers, are encouraged to log on or call in and attend to share their thoughts about what works with the current long-term Medicaid system in Nebraska and what needs to be changed. Goals for the redesign project include strengthening access, coordination and integration of care through streamlined eligibility processes and collaborative case management, as well as promoting independent living in the least restrictive setting possible through the use of consumer-focused and individualized services and living options.
