DHHS to hold Hearings July 20th on Regulations Related to Child Care Subsidy Program and Aid to Dependent Children Program

Lincoln—The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services will hold public hearings July 20th on proposed changes to regulations related to the Child Care Subsidy Program and the Aid to Dependent Children’s Program.
 
Public Hearing at 9:00 a.m. CDT

This hearing is being held to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations related to the Child Care Subsidy Program. The proposed regulations will primarily impact tribal wards and foster parents of tribal wards regarding eligibility redeterminations, transitional child care, and the timeframe to process applications.
The hearing will be held on Wednesday, July 20, at 9:00 a.m. CDT, at the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln, 301 Centennial Mall South. This hearing will be held in lower level conference room B.

Public Hearing at 2:00 p.m. CDT
This hearing is being held to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations related to the Aid to Dependent Children Program (ADC). The proposed regulations, which will primarily impact ADC applicants and recipients, make a variety of changes to the regulations regarding the earned income disregard, the processing timeline for applications, calculation of the maximum grant payment, shelter in lieu of earned income, and Emergency Assistance. The hearing will be held in lower level conference room F.

Interested persons are invited to submit written comments or to attend and comment at the hearing. Written comments must be postmarked or received by 5:00 p.m. CDT the day of the hearing, and should be emailed to DHHS.Regulations@nebraska.gov, faxed to 402-742-2382, or sent to DHHS Legal Services, 301 Centennial Mall South, P.O. Box 95026, Lincoln, NE 68509-5026.
