Hastings Regional Center Facility Operating Officer
Recognized as DHHS Supervisor of the Year
October is Nebraska State Employee Recognition Month
Lincoln – Hastings Regional Center (HRC) Facility Operating Officer Marj Colburn, is being recognized as one of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services’ (DHHS) Supervisors of the year.
October is Nebraska State Employee Recognition Month and state employees whose job performance exceeds the highest standards are recognized.
“These employees and supervisors are an inspiration to all of us and I want to thank them for their hard work and dedication,” said Courtney Phillips, DHHS CEO. “It is a true honor for them to be nominated by their peers for this recognition. Marj exemplifies the DHHS mission of helping people live better lives.”
Coworkers said that Colburn “makes the Hastings Juvenile Chemical Dependency Program (HJCDP) run smoothly due to her positive and supportive attitude.” They went on to say that she is “dedicated to the program and the youth that we serve.” They noted that she gets involved in the community to try to make a difference.
Colburn will be honored along with all employees and supervisors of the year on Wednesday, November 2 with a ceremony with Gov. Pete Ricketts in the Capitol Rotunda and a reception at the Governor’s Residence.
HRC is part of DHHS’ Division of Behavioral Health.
