Fremont Employee Recognized as DHHS Employee of the Year
October is Nebraska State Employee Recognition Month
Lincoln – A Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) employee in Fremont is being recognized as employee of the year.
Megan Welton, a social services worker, was recognized as an employee of the year.
October is Nebraska State Employee Recognition Month and state employees whose job performance exceeds the highest standards are recognized.
“These employees and supervisors are an inspiration to all of us and I want to thank them for their hard work and dedication,” said Courtney Phillips, DHHS CEO. “It is a true honor for them to be nominated by their peers for this recognition. Megan exemplifies the DHHS mission of helping people live better lives.”
Welton’s coworkers said she is “unceasingly dedicated to accuracy and service…and gives her team great support and knowledge.” They went on to say that she is an “invaluable asset because of the way she professes acceptance and encouragement.”
Welton will be honored along with all employees and supervisors of the year on Wednesday, November 2 with a ceremony with Gov. Pete Ricketts in the Capitol Rotunda and a reception at the Governor’s Residence.
