Chadron Employees Recognized as DHHS Supervisors of the Year
October is Nebraska State Employee Recognition Month
Lincoln – Two Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) employees in Chadron are being recognized as supervisors of the year.
Treasa Hunt and Roxie Skidmore, both Social Services Supervisors, were recognized as supervisors of the year.
October is Nebraska State Employee Recognition Month and state employees whose job performance exceeds the highest standards are recognized.
“These employees and supervisors are an inspiration to all of us and I want to thank them for their hard work and dedication,” said Courtney Phillips, DHHS CEO. “It is a true honor for them to be nominated by their peers for this recognition. Treasa and Roxie exemplify the DHHS mission of helping people live better lives.”
Hunt’s coworkers said she “creates a good, encouraging environment for her staff to work in. She goes above and beyond as supervisor.” They go on to say that she is a great example for everyone there. Hunt “strives to do her best and pushes us to do the same.”
“Roxie exemplifies the leadership that has propelled improvement within the Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care.” Skidmore’s coworkers can’t speak enough about her good qualities. They said she “leads by example by teaching workers skills needed to meet and exceed standard of service.” They also say she is “a true asset!”
Hunt and Skidmore will be honored along with all employees and supervisors of the year on Wednesday, November 2 with a ceremony with Gov. Pete Ricketts in the Capitol Rotunda and a reception at the Governor’s Residence.
