The Nebraska WIC Approved Product List (APL) contains the UPCs of all WIC-eligible foods available for purchase by Nebraska WIC participants. The link above will download an excel file containing the full list of UPCs. This list will be updated and reposted quarterly.
All eligible products, except fresh fruits and vegetables, require a UPC to be included in the APL. If a UPC is not in the APL, then that product cannot be purchased with WIC food benefits.
Fresh produce is included in the APL by PLU not UPC (frozen produce UPCs are in the APL). The Nebraska WIC APL contains almost all of the International Federation of Produce Standards (IFPS) approved PLU's for produce. We exclude PLU's for non-WIC items such as herbs, spices, etc. You can find the IFPS standardized PLU's at the following website: www.ifpsglobal.com.
