Omaha Child Care License Revoked
Lincoln — The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, has revoked the license of an Omaha child care provider in an emergency order issued today.
Shannon Bennett doing business as Little Sprouts Clubhouse, 4510 North 153rd Circle, Omaha, can’t provide care for any children other than her own.
Bennett may request a hearing within 15 days of receiving the emergency revocation order. The hearing is held within 10 days of the request, unless a continuance is granted.
DHHS has notified parents of the children enrolled in this child care program of the situation.
An emergency revocation order is issued whenever DHHS finds that an emergency exists requiring immediate action to protect the physical well-being and safety of a child in a child care program. Individuals whose child care licenses are revoked are not eligible to reapply for a child care license for two years.
