Rental Housing, Services, Listings Available Online for Nebraska Towns
Lincoln – Persons seeking rental housing and services in 156 Nebraska communities can find listings online at, said Resource Specialist Mary Reece, of Assistive Technology Partnership in Lincoln.
Information on the site assists Nebraskans to locate homes and apartments that fit their needs by easily searching available housing across the state, Reece said. Properties are listed by community and county. The site allows housing searches using various criteria, including:
  • Number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
  • Rent amount, and acceptance of rent subsidy or whether rent is income-based.
  • Accessibility features.
  • Proximity to public transportation.

In addition, those who rent housing can add properties to the site, she said. There is no charge for this service.

Services available on the site include a rental affordability calculator, housing inspection checklist, information about the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants, and links to other resources including education leading to successful renting, and health and human services resources.

Persons without access to the Internet or needing further assistance, including bilingual support, may call 1-877-428-8844 between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (CST).

“Whether renters or property owners visit online or call toll free, this service offers help for a good rental experience that fulfills their needs,” Reece said. “Listings include photos, maps, property details and information about nearby amenities.”

Information on the site was provided through a collaborative effort of Assistive Technology Partnership, Omaha Housing Authority, Lincoln Housing Authority, Region V Systems (Lincoln), Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Hotline for Disability Services, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Nebraska Department of Economic Development, U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development in Nebraska, Nebraska Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, Safe Place of the People’s City Mission in Lincoln, and Legal Aid of Nebraska’s Landlord and Tenant Handbook.
