Child Care License Suspended
Lincoln—The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, has suspended the license of a Blair child care provider in an emergency order issued last week.
Kathy Matzen, 1415 Park Street in Blair, can’t provide care for any children other than her own, until charges pending against her and her son have been resolved.  Matzen may request a hearing within 15 days of the receipt of the emergency suspension order and afforded a hearing within 10 days of the request, unless a continuance is granted.
The parents of children enrolled in this child care program have been notified of this action.
An emergency suspension order is issued whenever the Department finds that an emergency exists requiring immediate action to protect the physical well-being and safety of a child in a child care program.
