Artist at Lincoln Regional Center on April 30th
Lincoln—An Artist of the Arboretum show will be held on April 30th  at the Lincoln Regional Center, Folsom and W. Prospector in Lincoln, in the lobby of the Administration Building.
This show will feature Amber Marie Roland, a Lincoln resident, who works in several mediums, including printmaking, pastels and acrylics.
“Art can play an important role in recovery for consumers of mental health services,” said Carol Coussons de Reyes, administrator of the Office of Consumer Affairs in the Division of Behavioral Health, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.  “Art can create community through appreciation.”
“To me art is like a tiny vacation from life. It takes you away from every day stresses,” Roland said.
To view the art and to meet the artist you can come to the Administration Building on campus at 9:30 Tuesday, April 30.  The art exhibit in the lobby is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until May 30th
