Enrollment Opens for Nebraska Medicaid’s Electronic Health Record Incentive Payment Program
Lincoln – Enrollment opens today (May 7) for Nebraska Medicaid’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Payment Program according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
The federal Medicaid and Medicare EHR incentive programs provide payments to eligible professionals, hospitals and critical access hospitals who acquire and ultimately meaningfully use certified EHR technology.
Electronic health records consolidate and digitize a patient’s health information. The technology has many potential benefits for patient care; for example, electronic records can be shared more easily between health care professionals and result in a faster diagnosis while reducing the need for repeat or unnecessary testing.
