Department of Health and Human Services to Hold Hearing June 7 on Proposed Medicaid Regulations
Lincoln –The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is holding a hearing on proposed Medicaid regulations on Thursday, June 7, at 10:00 a.m., in the Nebraska State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lower Level, Conference Room A, in Lincoln.
The Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care is holding this hearing to accept comments on proposed regulations related to payment for inpatient psychiatric services for individuals under age 21 in psychiatric residential treatment facilities. 
This is a second hearing on these regulations, which have been revised due to comments received at a previous hearing.  The changes are intended to bring the regulations into compliance with federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requirements. 
The proposed regulations will clarify provisions for the coverage for psychiatric residential treatment facilities for youth under age 21. 
Anyone may attend and comment at the hearing or submit comments in writing.  Written comments will be given the same consideration as oral comments.  Written comments must be postmarked or received by 5:00 p.m. CT on June 9 and should be sent to DHHS Legal Services, 301 Centennial Mall South, P.O.
