Department of Health and Human Services to Hold Hearing March 15 on Proposed New Medicaid Regulations
 
Lincoln –The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is holding a hearing on proposed new Medicaid regulations on Thursday, March 15, at 10:00 a.m., in the Nebraska State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lower Level, Conference Room A, in Lincoln.

The Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care is holding this hearing to accept comments on proposed new Medicaid regulations related coverage of freestanding birth center services. 
 
The proposed regulations will establish:
  • Standards for participation in Medicaid;
  • Covered birth center procedures and services;
  • Billing requirements; and
  • Payment provisions.
Anyone may attend and comment at the hearing or submit comments in writing.  Written comments will be given the same consideration as oral comments.  Written comments must be postmarked or received by 5:00 p.m. CT on March 17 and should be sent to DHHS Legal Services, 301 Centennial Mall South, P.O.
