- Celebrating 15 years! The Nebraska Women’s Health Symposium: Taking Care in a Changing World
will take place on Wednesday, November 9th at the Marriott Cornhusker in Lincoln. Sponsored by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, the Symposium brings together women’s health care professionals from across the state who share an interest in current health care trends, education, prevention services, and networking.
Diverse topics, such as the health care needs of female veterans, advancements in stress management, and innovations in pharmacology will be presented in a relaxed learning environment. Participants will enjoy connecting with colleagues, physical activity breaks, interesting exhibits and good food.
The Symposium will offer continuing education credits for a number of healthcare professions, and the $85 registration fee includes breaks, lunch, and an opportunity to participate in health screenings offered by Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center.
The Symposium is open to the public, as well as to persons who work in health-related careers.

The Symposium is a collaborative effort of a number of organizations, including the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, the Women’s Health Advisory Council and Creighton University Health Sciences Continuing Education, Alegent Health, Madonna ProActive, Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, Tobacco Free Nebraska and the Veterans Administration Nebraska – Western Iowa Health Care System.
