Department of Health and Human Services to Hold Hearings December 1 on Proposed Changes to Regulations

Lincoln –The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is holding hearings on proposed changes to regulations on Thursday, December 1, in the Nebraska State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lower Level, Conference Room A, in Lincoln.
Public Hearing at 10:30 a.m. CT
The Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care is holding this hearing to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations related to Medicaid payments to clinical laboratories. The changes will reduce clinical laboratory payment rates by 2.5 percent to implement budget reductions by the 2011 Nebraska Legislature.
Public Hearing at 1:30 p.m. CT
The Division of Public Health is holding this hearing to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations relating to the Brain Injury Registry. The changes will bring the regulations into compliance with state law by changing reporting requirements for hospitals and rehabilitation centers from annually to monthly and adding a requirement for DHHS to provide information to persons with brain or head injuries to assist them with accessing needed services.

Anyone may attend and comment at the hearings or submit comments in writing. Written comments will be given the same consideration as oral comments.
