What you need to know

The Civil Money Penalty (CMP) program provides grants and emergency payments to nursing homes in Nebraska, and is funded through the collection penalties imposed on certified nursing facilities. Medicaid & Long-Term Care (MLTC) is responsible for sending CMP payments to eligible stakeholders.

For criteria around grants and emergency payments and submission requirements, see the links below:

CMP Grants

Grants are awarded annually to eligible entities for one-time or start-up projects. The project must be practical and provide a long-term improvement to the quality of life and care for residents in certified nursing facilities.

CMP Grants may not be used for nursing home services, supplies, or equipment that are the responsibility of nursing homes, such as laundry, linen, food, heat, or staffing costs. Projects must be continued or concluded without additional CMP funding.  Grant projects under $5,000 will not be considered.
