What you need to know

Vaccinations have prevented babies, children and even adults from harmful or deadly diseases that were once common. Vaccinations help your body create protective antibodies to help fight off infection. It is important to remain up-to-date on vaccinations as some vaccine preventable diseases are still prevalent.

Immunizations for Adults

Immunizations for adults are just as important as childhood immunizations. All adults should receive the following:

  • Td or Tdap vaccine
  • Influenza or flu vaccine
  • COVID-19 vaccine
Some adults may need other vaccines based on age, health conditions, job, lifestyle or travel habits. The following link can help you talk to your primary care provider to find out which vaccines may be recommended for you.

Travel Vaccines

Routine vaccines can help you stay healthy during travel. The routine vaccines needed before travel may depend on age, health, and vaccine history. You may need to get an accelerated dose of a vaccine or a booster dose before traveling.
