What you need to know

The Nebraska Adolescent Health Advisory Committee, or NAHAC, began meeting March 2014. The professionals on the committee are passionate about the health of Nebraska's young people. Organized by the Adolescent Health program in the Division of Public Health, the group has worked to develop operating guidelines and a youth charter.

In January 2015, the full NAHAC planned focus groups with young people across the state. This process informed the strategic plan, which was written in late 2015. Later, the NAHAC served as an advisory body to the Adolescent Health program as we strived to promote healthy youth development principles in all programming for youth across the state.

PURPOSE

NAHAC will inform, advise, and advance the Nebraska Adolescent Health Program.

VISION

Nebraska adolescents are empowered and able to live safe, healthy, and successful lives.

MISSION

NAHAC will collaborate to develop, advise and advocate for programs that will advance the health of Nebraska adolescents and young adults.
